Day One

No blue highways today, but one blue dog getting dropped off in Glenmont, New York. Car was packed to capacity!

For some reason, everyone was headed to NYC today, reminding us why we want to avoid the main thoroughfares. A stop at Syracuse Suds brought us a tasty pale ale and a good lambic for Pete. Food was great, too.

550 miles later, we arrived at Niagara Falls for a spectacular night viewing. Not a big fan of the colored lights and glitz, but the falls themselves are breathtaking. I can't wrap my head around the people walking around right under the falls without getting swept away, either, but people do it every day so I guess it's safe enough. The pics will not do it justice, of course. Canadian side tomorrow and maybe the elevator to the caves behind the falls.

KOA Niagara Falls tonight. It's late!
